Class Action Lawsuit: Wheelchair/Scooter Access Barriers at Ten Northern California Burger King® Restaurants

The Burger King® restaurants covered by this class action are:

2440 Mahogany Way, Antioch

2757 Castro Valley Boulevard, Castro Valley

6021 Central Avenue, El Cerrito

2415 North Texas Street, Fairfield

950 West A Street, Hayward

4200 International Blvd./East 14 th Street, Oakland

677 Contra Costa Boulevard, Pleasant Hill

2162 Railroad Avenue, Pittsburg

972 El Camino Real, South San Francisco

1799 North Broadway, Walnut Creek

Examples of the types of barriers that Plaintiffs contend currently or in the past existed at the ten restaurants include:

Narrow “queue lines” -- the L-shaped
barriers causing customers to form one
line to the cash register.

Doors that are too narrow or difficult to
open.

Inaccessible restrooms.

Inaccessible parking.

Excessive slope or cross slope in parking
lots or sidewalks.

Inaccessible condiments, napkins, or
other items.

Inaccessible seating.

Other wheelchair or scooter access problems.
