Potential Class Action Lawsuit: Wheelchair/Scooter Access Barriers at 86 California Burger King® Restaurants
We are investigating claims that 86 specific Burger King® restaurants in California have -- or have had at any time since October 2006 – barriers to customers who use wheelchairs or scooters. Examples of the types of barriers we are investigating include:
- Narrow “queue lines” -- the L-shaped barriers causing customers to form one line to the cash register.
- Doors that are too narrow or difficult to open.
- Inaccessible restrooms.
- Inaccessible parking.
- Excessive slope or cross slope in parking lots or sidewalks.
- Inaccessible condiments, napkins, or other items.
- Inaccessible seating.
- Other wheelchair or scooter access problems.
If you use a wheelchair or scooter and have encountered any of these barriers at any of the Burger King® restaurants listed on this page since October 2006, please contact us at 888-461-9191 or click here for more information.
We represented the class of people who use wheelchairs or scooters who obtained a settlement against Burger King Corporation in a lawsuit – Castaneda v. Burger King Corporation -- addressing barriers in ten Burger King® restaurants in Northern California. We are now investigating the same types of claims in 86 additional restaurants.
